The International Media Awards 2012





The eighth annual International Media Awards will be held in London on Saturday 5th of May.  The International Media Awards are a salute to the importance of both of these forces, designed to reinforce their impact through the promotion of accurate and responsible reporting. They bring together figures active in all forms of conventional and non-conventional media, and from all over the Middle East, a testament to the potential for peaceful dialogue in that region.

The awards are given to journalists and broadcasters who, through the consistently high standard of their work, promote better understanding.  

This year’s awards are:

The Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a figure who has had a long and distinguished career in the media, and who has during this time worked tirelessly for the promotion of better understanding.

The Peace Through Media Awards

The Peace Through Media Awards are given to journalists or broadcasters of outstanding calibre. They are selected because their work is of such quality that it has helped to foster a climate of peace and understanding.
